Christmas Concert in Christiansfeld

The concert takes place in the Moravian Church (Brødremenighedens kirke).

The choir will sing well-known and beloved Christmas songs and hymns and also more complex music fit for the season. One example is Michael Praetorius’ festive Christmas motet Resonet in laudibus for 6 voices (from 1611). Praetorius applies a melody which in Denmark is known as Lad det klinge højt i sky.
